The Tony®, named in honor of Antoinette Perry, has been one of the theatre's most coveted awards. It is bestowed annually on professionals for "distinguished achievement" in theatre. The American Theatre Wing's Tony Awards are presented by Tony Award Productions, a joint venture of The Broadway League and the American Theatre Wing.
